As one of the earliest hotels established in Jakarta and the iconic hotel is celebrating a momentous milestone: its 60th anniversary. In celebration of the special occasion, the hotel presents the beauty of Indonesian art through a series of events entitled “Wondrous 60 Years” starting from 5 to 31 August 2022.
For the entire month of August, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta will treat guests with an art exhibition in collaboration with ISA Art & Design themed “Origins”, which will highlight the development of art in Indonesia.
Moreover, guests will be spoiled with endless exciting events, programmes and offers, including various culinary offerings from the archipelago, a special anniversary stay offer, a social media photography competition, the Soundrise music event at Paulaner Brauhaus featuring Indonesian singer Judika held on 16 August 2022, concluded with an art and music performance dubbed “A Night to Remember” featuring several talented Indonesian musicians.
The awe-inspiring “Origins” art exhibition will showcase the works of 20 Indonesian artists and 3 foreign artists, each with their distinct and diverse cultural backgrounds and artistic identities in conjunction with the celebration, of the theme of “Indonesia”. Some of the artists participating in this art exhibition include Adam de Boer, A.D Pirous, Agus Suwage, Chaerul Umam, Eddy Susanto, Eko Nugroho and many more. One of the highlights of this exhibition is Aaron Taylor Kuffner’s show-stopping Gamelatron installation, an innovative masterpiece that can automatically play gamelan music that can be found in the hotel’s Main Lobby. The artworks featured in this exhibition are scattered throughout the hotel’s Main Lobby and the Nirwana Lounge, available from 5 to 20 August 2022.

Additionally, guests shouldn’t miss out on the fantastic culinary experience from across the archipelago throughout August. Signatures Restaurant will serve cuisines from the various provinces of Indonesia, such as Se’i Sapi from NTT, Ayam Pa’piong from Toraja, and Nasi Gandul from Pati. Over at Paulaner Brauhaus, indulge in unique culinary delights such as the Paulaner Rijsttafel, where guests can revel in staple German and Indonesian fusion delicacies such as Pork Knuckle Betutu, Deep Fried Duck, and Rendang Sausage served with Sayur Ebatan, Nasi Merah Putih, Sambal Matah and Sambal Terong. That’s not all! Guests can also quench their thirst with the exclusive Beer Pletok, available throughout August at all of their F&B outlets.

Rounding off the “Wondrous 60 Years” event, the art and music performance “A Night to Remember” will be held as the highlight event on 31 August 2022. Located in the luxe Bali Room at the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, this event will feature various artists from Indonesia including Gus Tedja, a musician from Bali, the Kerongcong Paksi Band from Jogja, and a Wayang Performance by Gibran Papadimitriou to the Sinden performance by singer Gisella Anastasia.
