To welcome Spring, The Dharmawangsa has brought back its lavish Sunday brunch where, on 22 April, guests can savour a range of sumptuous delicacies at the contemporary old town Jakarta Restaurant and The Courtyard. At the ‘Spring Sunday Market’, diners can sample dishes from various cuisines, accompanied by free flow champagne.
Adopting a traditional market setting, Executive Chef Felix Budisetiawan has curated a vibrant Sunday market with an array of stalls offering raw ingredients from locally grown organic and artisanal food products.
The Dharmawangsa Nursery features organic vegetables and spices, a selection of high-quality coffee beans and many varieties of decorative plants and healing herbs in a space where guests can enjoy several live attractions such as a coffee cupping demo and a traditional cigar rolling presentation.
Guests can dine on a selection of fresh oysters, truffles, premium caviar and AOC French cheeses. There is also a salmon station featuring traditional salmon gravlax, seared Japanese Wagyu primavera, and roast goose.
Chef Songpol Ponkaew of Anantara Chiang Mai joins the market to present distinctive Northern Thai cuisine with dishes such as khao soi gai or Northern Thai coconut curry noodles and other popular Thai street dishes. A magician will also stop by and a live strolling band performs throughout the day.
The Sunday Spring Sunday Market takes place on 22 April, starting from 11.30 am to 3 p.m and is on offer for IDR 1.888.000 for adults inclusive of unlimited flow of Nicolas Feuillatte champagne, local beer and wine. The option without alcohol is priced at IDR 1.588.000 and IDR 888.000 for children (4-11 years old).
