Inspired by its core mission to introduce and preserve Indonesia’s rich culture and traditions, Hotel Tentrem presents ‘Tentrem Ing Rasa’ at 3 properties in Yogyakarta (8-9 March 2025 for IDR 400.000 nett/person), Semarang (13-14 March 2025 for IDR 485,000 nett/person) and Jakarta (21-22 March 2025 for IDR 588,000 nett/person) during the holy month of Ramadan.
The event features the collaboration of Executive Chef Philip Walasary from Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta, Executive Chef Alfi Ardian from Hotel Tentrem Semarang, and Executive Chef Ivan Mangundap from Hotel Tentrem Jakarta, all under the leadership of Hotel Tentrem’s Executive Chef: Chef Sky Lee. Not only will each city bring its own specialities, but the chefs’ skill in combining traditional elements with current methods gives each dish an interesting story of its own.

Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta offers the local classics: Gudeg, Satay Klathak, Mangut Lele and Mie Lethek. Unlike usual, the gudeg is not only made from young jackfruit, but also young coconut flowers. For dessert, Gudeg Ice Cream combines that with savoury coconut milk areh, while the Pecel Ice Cream is nutty with hints of orange and galangal.
Hotel Tentrem Semarang features Babat Gongso, made from beef tripe cooked with spicy and sweet spices. Balancing it is Salmon Asam Gelugur, an infusion of sweet fish with fresh sourness.
Hotel Tentrem Jakarta presents a Banten signature in Bebek Cibeber with contemporary style yet still retaining its authenticity. Ayam Bakar Rabeg pairs with it, delivering spicy and savoury flavours all at once through being seasoned with Madura spices.

Hotel Tentrem believes as part of its brand identity that food is one of the most beautiful ways to recognise, celebrate and preserve Indonesia’s rich traditions. According to Executive Chef Sky Lee, “Tentrem ing Rasa is a space for us to channel our expertise in creating culinary creations that not only satisfy the palate but also provide an immersive experience of Indonesia’s cultural heritage.”
Through this event, the hotel wishes to provide an iftar experience that nourishes the body and soul with a series of cultural meanings and values. “We want our guests to experience more than just food. We want to give them an experience that evokes a sense of pride in Indonesian culture,” concluded Executive Chef Sky Lee.
