Nestled in the heart of Jakarta’s prestigious World Trade Centre, The Summit Club is a soon-to-open member’s club that has been designed as a stylish destination that fosters both business and social connection. Hosting a wide range of first-class facilities, from dining to wellness and entertainment, as well as programs and events, the club aims to be a hub for both professional and personal needs and create a vibrant community of business leaders in Jakarta.
Why is The Summit Club a new concept?
Compared to the old-style private members club, which traded very much on exclusivity, The Summit’s approach is to blend exclusivity and inclusivity. This involves finding the right balance between dedicated member areas, and more fluid, engaging spaces or programs that ensure that there is always life and vibrance within the club’s comprehensive range of world-class facilities. As a place to connect to the right people, The Summit Club encourages a diverse community of international and national members, including both men and women.
Members will be able to engage as they please across the different facilities, be it in the dining and entertainment venues, sports, fitness and wellness zones, or at one of the diverse social events curated to foster high-level networking.
Dining and Entertainment
Hospitality is a key factor at The Summit Club, boasting a marvellous range of food and beverage options to satisfy both the international and national membership. With three bars, three kitchens and four dining venues, the club can deliver a perfectly set table for two or a cocktail function catering for 150. Throughout The Summit Club, no matter where you drink or dine, you will be assured of outstanding personalised, confident and discrete service.
The Food & Beverage offerings are overseen by Douglas Forrest who has years of experience working in some of the region’s finest restaurants alongside the who’s who of global celebrities and Michelin Star chefs. Douglas is supported by Agustaf, who heads up the service team.
All-day international dining is found at Duke’s, which features a wide selection of Western classics and favourites, as well as refined Asian street food. Evening dining combines with a music-themed supper club atmosphere. Then there is Sarong, an Indonesian and Southeast Asian-inspired dining venue, Sophia’s authentic Mediterranean cuisines, and Third Space for all-day casual dining.
When it comes to libations, there is Fleming’s, an intimate speakeasy featuring James Bond’s library. The Member’s Lounge is the relaxing heart of the club with full food and beverage service; and the Pavilion Rooftop, a semi-al fresco sports bar and diner found on the extensive roof area, featuring live cooking, live sports and music.
Facilities
A range of quality wellness and business amenities are readily available at The Summit Club. Recreation facilities include the 200-square-metre gymnasium featuring matrix equipment; a private gym for one-on- one personal training; a tennis and squash court; and two studios for group classes. The rooftop is home to a multi-purpose sports court (for 5 side football, volleyball, pickleball, basketball etc) and a 20m swimming pool, complete with sun loungers.
Sitting at the heart of Jakarta’s CBD, business is without a doubt an important element at The Summit Club, which members can utilise for their different needs. These include private meeting rooms, conference rooms or boardrooms, depending on occasion and group size; plus an impressive function space for larger events. These not only provide a ‘neutral’ venue for meetings, but they also come complete with the club’s outstanding service and additional facilities.
The club’s new General Manager, Ian MacCallum, will be arriving in Jakarta from Hong Kong, a city known for its impressive private members club culture. Ian is an experienced manager, dedicated to member service, and delivering a quality operation. Working in the hospitality industry for over 25 years, Ian is fortunate to have worked within some of the finest clubs and hotels and alongside a host of professionals around Asia including Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam.
The club invites interested membership applicants to confirm their interest before the Gold membership category closes.
