British Michelin-starred Chef Tom Aikens joins forces with Indonesian Chef Petty Elliot in collaboration with British Embassy Jakarta to present an exquisite British-Indonesia feast infused with the countries’ signature flavors, in Tom’s by Tom Aikens at The Langham, Jakarta, from 19-24 November 2024.
When accoladed abilities combine – Chef Aikens’ innovative take on British classics and Chef Elliott’s contemporary twist on Indonesian cuisine – a voyage of food awaits: with a special gastrodiplomacy menu for lunch, dinner and a Sunday Brunch buffet. Beyond the fusion dining experience, guests including British Embassy Jakarta and local media representatives also partook in a hands-on cooking class led by both chefs, wherein they learn essential techniques that blend British cuisine with Indonesian flavors.
Dishes like Tom’s Crispy Fish & Chips with Mango Sambal and Cod Fillet with Woku Sauc adorn the daily special lunch menu. An appetizing 5-course dinner menu features Chef Petty’s Mixed Vegetable Salad and Cod en Croute with Kalio Sauce, and Chef Tom’s Treacle & Whiskey Marinated Salmon and Apple Tart Fine. The Sunday Brunch ends the event with an exhaustive buffet and diverse live stations.
