Swing Like Tarzan

Archipelago Diaries | 6 May 2016

Spending the weekend in Jakarta may not seem so appealing, especially for the kids, as the entertainment options here in the city tend to centre on indoor activities. With its intense humidity and (sometimes) unreasonable traffic, it’s understandable that many Jakartans prefer to stay indoors. However, if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the capital and breathe in some fresh, grassy air, take the kids to Bandung Treetop where they can play, swing and get back to nature.

Bandung Tree Top is a place for those with an adventurous spirit. Test your nerves and relish the adrenaline rush as you and your kids navigate your way around the circuits, jumping from one treetop to the next. Each circuit has been carefully designed with different levels of difficulty, and there are eight circuits available consisting of 88 challenges and 24 flying foxes. The Giant Tarzan circuit and the Black circuit are the most ambitious, and certainly not for the faint-hearted as you have to jump from a 20-metre high treetop! The little ones can also test their bravery in the children’s circuit which runs along a more reasonable two-metre high platform.
