IHS Evening Lecture: How Trump’s Tariffs Rippled Through Indonesia’s Economy

On Tuesday, 13 May 2025, the Indonesian Heritage Society welcomes renowned economist Muhammad Chatib Basri for an incisive Evening Lecture titled “The Impact of Trump’s Tariff on Indonesia’s Economy.”
Basri, former Minister of Finance under President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, brings with him both academic insight and real-world experience. A lecturer at the University of Indonesia, he currently sits on The World Bank’s Advisory Council on Gender and Development, and holds advisory roles at both the Australian National University and the National Economic Council.
Tickets are priced at IDR 150,000 for public, IDR 100,000 for IHS Friends, and with a discounted rate of IDR 50,000 for students.
