Indonesian Heritage Society (IHS) Evening Lecture

Topic:     Martin Westlake: Indonesia – A Photographer’s Dream

Between assignments spanning 30+ years as an editorial and commercial photographer, Martin Westlake has worked on personal Indonesian photo projects using medium and large format film cameras.  He will describe his inspiration and methods, highlighting:

•       ‘Island People’ – portraits of culture and traditions;

•       ‘Outsider’ – an exploration around the village where he lives; and

•       ‘Fire Mountain’ – the physical and human geography of Indonesia’s volcanoes
