Omar Niode Foundation recently launched their latest book, At the Table. Food and Family around the World. The 342-page book has been curated by Ken Albala, renowned food blogger, author and editor who has previously written thirteen books about the dynamics of the culinary world.

The book is a collection of stories written by various contributors from around the world, providing fascinating insight into how dinner is prepared, served, consumed and defined in different countries around the world. There are 38 countries which are explored in chapters focusing on present-day meal habits in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and North and South America. It compares cooking methods, gender roles regarding food and meals, and the places of children or extended relatives at meal time.
