From 4 to 6 August, Grand Hyatt Jakarta’s Grand Ballroom will become a special place for those looking for weddinginspiration and ideas as the five-star hotel returns with the 6th Grand Hyatt Jakarta Wedding Fair 2017.
During the three-day event, visitors can meet more than 25 of the finest personnel and vendors of the wedding industry, who will showcase the latest trends on souvenirs, invitations, cakes, photography, videography and more. The fair will also featurean exquisite collection of three young and talented Indonesian designers, Hian Tjen, Vera Kebaya and Monica Ivena, which will be showcased during a fashion show.
The beauty of nature and love became the inspiration for Hian Tjen in creating his collection. Hian Tjen’s fashion show, which will be held on the first day of the event, will present 25 bridal collections titled “A Fine Romance”. The ceremonial and wedding dress collections come with modern nuances for the millenial bride and groom, ready to turn the latest wedding concepts into colorful affairs. As part of his collection, Hian also presents lace gowns as a fresh idea for classical beauty. Hian took on this challenge by arranging the re-appear lace material in the millenial era. The transparent delicate lace looks stunning with added simple details on the dress. The intricate craftsmanship combined with couture techniques is present in each collection.
Those looking for a wedding dress with a touch of Indonesian culture could opt for Vera Kebaya. Vera, who has worked for more than 15 years as a fashion designer specializing in kebayas, is set to turn the 6th Grand Hyatt Jakarta Wedding Fair 2017 into an unforgettable moment as it is also the first time for her to realize her dream of holding a fashion show. Under the title “Merajut Nusantara” (Knitting the Nusantara), the fashion show will take place on the second day of the event, showcasing 48 kebayas that incorporate the colorful diversity of Indonesia’s archipelago. Moreover, Vera’s show will also include 22 original brides and grooms - all of whom are her clients - wearing traditional wedding accessories from all regions of Indonesia. The fashion show will involve traditional studios from various regions such as North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Lampung, West Java, Jakarta, South Sulawesi and Bali.
On the last day of the event, Monica Ivena will impress the visitors with her latest collection that is beautiful, charming and gentle while at the same time maintains a strong and powerful character. The fashion show titled “Eisberg” (Iceberg) will display the playful dress that perfectly combines colour and silhouette. The fashion show marks her collaboration with the Clique agency, a Hong Kong-based public relations agency in order to widen her wings (Monica Ivena Couture) on an international level.
