Jakarta Culinary “Feastival” 2018 is Coming this November with More Award Winning Talents and Experts

WHAT'S HAPPENING | 25 October 2018

The fifth edition of Jakarta Culinary Feastival (JCF) is set to be held on 1-4 November. Taking place at the Senayan City’s compound, the festival is expected to be a gastronomic haven where foodies can meet with more than 50 local and international culinary stars.

Presented by Ismaya Live, this year JCF 2018 is designed to be a one-stop hub where foodies can learn more about the culinary world through various Masterclasses, cooking demos, and talk shows.

More than 50 culinary insiders including baristas, mixologists, and F&B experts, will be at the festival, including two Michelin-starred chefs; Manjunath Mural of The Song of India (Singapore) and Rishi Naleendra of Cheek By Jowl (Singapore). Australian MasterChef 2018 runner-up, Ben Ungermann is also set to enliven the festivity through his skill in making an ice cream delicacies.

Chef Eelke Plasmeije from of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Locavore and MasterChef Thailand judge Thitid Tassanakajoh will make an appearance at the festival. Agung Prabowo from The Old Man Hong Kong and David Ong from The Curator Coffee & Cocktails Bar Manila are among the stars in the festival's lineup this year.  Homegrown talents such as Sisca Soewitomo, Yuda Bustara, Kim Pangestu, William Gozali, They will lead the talk show discussion, cooking demos, Masterclasses, and Chef’s Table Experiences.

Everyone can cook.

Young talented chef Revo will lead Cooking Classes for Teens throughout the four-day festival. In seeking next generation of culinary talents, a chef competition ‘The Chef Hunt 2018’ will be held for the first time through the collaboration with Modena and Le Cordon Bleu culinary school.

GO-FOOD, the biggest food delivery service will be featuring Foodielab, a multi-sensory activation which invites foodies to interact with various installations that provide unique data visualisations about all the happening food cultures and its establishments.

At the festival, visitors will have a chance to explore a culinary haven at the Fork Tent and Spoon Tent. Located across the South Lobby of Senayan City, Fork Tent is home to all things dessert, coffee, and a marketplace showcasing businesses relating to the culinary world. Spoon Tent is the house of the finest selections of restaurants and the celebrated GO-FOOD Festival featuring 20 most popular GO-FOOD partners in town.
